Hi! I’m CassyA 25 year old fitness enthusiast, food obsessor, horror movie fanatic, and pitbull lover. Oh, and wine connoisseur. And by connoisseur, I mean I drink copious amounts of it and don't actually know anything about it. That counts, right? On any given day you can find me perfecting my roasted chickpeas recipe, housing a few glasses of wine, doing speed work to up my run pace, or on a late night mission in search of frozen yogurt. For years now, I’ve read about the numerous benefits of meditation. The list goes on and on and includes everything from stress relief to better sleep to improved digestion to lower blood pressure. Over the past couple of years, I’ve attempted to meditate on my own a few times and even downloaded a couple of guided meditation apps to help with the process. After a few times of trying, I quickly resigned to the fact that my mind is just not calm enough to sit there and think about “nothing”, so I would give up. Continue reading
